Through Omaha Counseling, Reka offers:

  • Individual therapy
  • Couples therapy
  • Family therapy

Reka also serves a wide variety of needs, including (but not necessarily limited to):

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Relationship issues
  • Grief and loss
  • Traumatic events

While everything above obviously covers a wide variety of needs and people, all of Reka’s work follows a similar initial structure.

In working with Reka, you can expect to participate in a few different steps:

  • The initial paperwork: Although we try not to get too bogged down in paperwork, some paperwork is inevitable. From basics like the consent to treat form to any insurance information Reka may need, we’ll make sure that all of this is worked out before your first session. Please check back shortly, as the majority of these forms will soon be available online.
  • The first meeting: Most patients would like to get right into the therapy, but that’s not always the best solution. For all of her clients, Reka first prefers to set a foundation in the first meeting, covering who you are, what’s going on, and ultimately doing an assessment that will help her throughout the rest of the process. This helps Reka set goals–how will you know when you’ve succeeded with therapy?–which can be used to evaluate ongoing progress. This is a necessary step and will help both parties work through the rest of the therapy.
  • The therapy itself: Finally, we get to the therapy itself. Once we’ve done some initial paperwork and set a foundation, Reka can assist you with counseling—which is ultimately why you chose to come to Omaha Counseling.

From that point on, any therapy that you receive from Reka will be personally customized to meet your needs. Whether that means a form of emotionally focused therapy (EFT) for couples, or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help a patient overcome anxiety, Reka’s expertise across a wide variety of areas can help nearly anyone overcome problems they’re having. By getting the paperwork and other logistical details worked out beforehand, Reka and her patients are better suited to focus on the actual therapy when it comes time to talk.

If any of these services sound like they may interest you, or if you’d just like to learn more about Reka, please don’t hesitate to get in touch by phone at 402-881-8125, by email at reka@omaha-counseling.com, or via Twitter or Facebook. We would love to answer any questions you may have.
